The snap-dry texture means they last a bit longer than sliced biltong, but make sure to keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight with the bag resealed tight. Unopened packs have a shelf life of 3 months. Once opened, finish them within 5 to 7 days for best flavour and texture. If you're in a humid part of NZ like the Far North, keep them in the fridge to prevent condensation forming. If you have your own Vac-sealer then your snapsticks can be made to last significantly longer.
